What's In My Bag?

Hello lovelies!

I have decided to do a, what’s in my bag post considering that I never normally take much in a bag if I got out; I’ll normally only take: phone, keys, and purse, but since I went on holiday I had more in my bag than just those three items.

The bag is a bright pink satchel from Primark. I never normally go for bright bags; I’ll normally stick to black or brown, but I really liked this bag and wanted to try something different and step out of my comfort zone. It cost £9 and is well structured. It’s not a massive bag, but it’s big enough for what you need.

(I did also had some prawn and cocktail crisps, but I ate them on the day and we don’t have any in the house)

Headphones: I can’t live without music for a four hour car journey headphones are a must!

Camera: In the picture it’s just the case considering I couldn’t have my camera in the picture and take the picture at the same time. I had to take my camera and I forgot to put it in the suitcase, so it had to go into my bag.

IPhone: Who can live without their phone? No me; that’s for sure! I have the 3G because I’m poor and can’t afford the 4 or 5.

IPod nano: My IPhone battery is shocking, so instead of listening to music off my phone; I used this instead. I’ve had this now for a good couple of years and it’s still good; it may be scratched, but it still works perfectly and that’s all that matters.

Sunglasses: I got these from New Look last year for my holiday and they’re still good. I don’t have a case for them and I didn’t want them to break, so in the bag they went.

Hand sanitizer: I like having clean hands. I don’t have OCD I just like being able to wash my hands after I’ve touched something dirty and with hand sanitizer its quick and easy. I got this brand because I wanted a change and it’s pink and it smells like passion flower & mango. The brand is Cuticura if you wondering.

Baby Lips – Cherry Me: I’m a little bit obsessed with baby lips ok? Cherry me has to be my favourite. I love the colour and it smells amazing!

Chocolate: Who can travel without food? Not me haha

Stonehenge

Hello lovelies!

Something that I never mentioned is that I’m on holiday! I’ve only travelled south to a small village called Pitton that is in the middle of nowhere. The journey was four hours in a very cramped car because we had taken quite a lot of stuff with us.

On one of our trips our trips out; we went to Stonehenge. It was a nice day, as the weather was good and it wasn’t packed. I did actually think that it would be free to look at, but it isn’t and it costs £8.

One you’ve paid you have a choice to whether or not you get a free audio guide which you have to hold to your ear like you’re talking into a phone to listen to. I didn’t get one, as I wanted to take pictures and I wouldn’t have enough hands to take pictures and listen to it at the same time. My mum however did get one and she said that it was boring because the man had an incredibly dull voice.

You can’t get close to the rocks and there’s a path that you have to follow around the stones, but the reason is that you aren’t allowed to touch them because they’d wear down and that wouldn’t be good; for obvious reasons.

.It’s pretty amazing to think that these rocks have been here for thousands of years and no one knows why there are many theories. Such as that it is a burial ground, as bodies have been found close to the rocks; or that it’s a spiritual and religious ground and that it was used as an astrological observatory.

Facts:

It took 30 million hours to build

It estimated to have been built in 3100 BC

It’s located in Wiltshire

There are three different types of stone: Bluestone, Sarsen and Welsh sandstone

It was built in three stages

The Versatile Blogger Award!

I'd like to thank everyone who believed in me, but most of all I'd like to thank Vanessa over at Citron and Guavaberry for the nomination.

And now we know that if I ever won an award I would need a lot of time to put a good speech together. Anyway let's move away from my poor attempt at humour, but I am thankful for this, like it seriously means a lot to me, so thank you Vanessa!

Rules:
1. Thank the person who nominated you & link their blog
2. Each nominee must name 7 things about themselves
3. They must nominate 15 blogs or bloggers they've recently discovered or follow regularly
4. Inform the nominees about their award
5. No tag backs!

Seven things about me:

1. I have really bad social anxiety and I'm not just saying this because it seems to be the cool thing to be at the moment. I'm saying it because I'm awkward. Just genuinely awkward. I get nervous and worry like crazy when I have to talk to someone who I don't know even something simple like ordering food at a restaurant, but I am trying to get over this and gain more confidence to which I think I am doing and I'm proud of myself for what I've managed to do.

2. I'm starting college this year and I'm going to study business because I'd love to have my own business one day even though I aren't very clever.

3. I don't like talking to people first, as I feel like I'm annoying them, so I won't text people first or write to someone first.

4. Reality TV is my life; I literally love it; it's my favourite

5. My natural hair colour is dark brown and I dye it blonde every six weeks; which is very bad, but being a brunette just doesn't suit me.

6. I'm really shy until I know the person and then you will literally hate me because I have a very dry sense of humour, so sometimes I say hurtful things, but I never mean it and if I know that I've hurt the persons feelings I will feel guilty as hell because I didn't mean what I said, I'm just very sarcastic.

7. I used to have over a 100 nail varnishes until I sorted through them and gave all the ones that I didn't like or didn't use to my brothers fiance and she likes them. I know have 53 nail varnishes (I just counted them, that's why the number is so precise; don't judge me!)

People that I nominate:

(I understand that this isn't 15 blogs, but I didn't want to just list random blogs for the sake of it)

Until next time

Maybelline Baby Lips Review

left to right: Intense care, mint fresh, peach kiss, pink punch, cherry me and hydrate

Nobody understands how happy this makes me. I have wanted these since I was seeing reviews about them from Americans, as these have been out for about a year over in the states. When I saw on the boots website that they were going to start stocking these I didn't know what to do with myself; I was over the moon.

A couple of days after they had been released I went to boots only to find out that the store hadn't had any yet and I was gutted, so when I got home I got straight on the website and saw that there was an offer on for 3 for 2, so I thought that I'd be stupid to not get all six.

Now to the important bit.

The six different types are: Intense care, mint fresh, peach kiss, pink punch, cherry me and hydrate. Three out of the six have no colour and three do have a tint of colour; pink punch and cherry me are well pigmented and they provide a good colour considering that they are only a lip balm.

I haven't had these for very long, but when I did get them my lips were in a pretty bad way, as they were very dry and chapped and after about a day of wearing one of these my lips healed and felt soft and smooth.

Scent wise these all smell amazing.
Mint fresh: (green packaging purple writing) smells extremely minty and the rest smell fruity
Cherry me: (Orange packaging, hot pink writing) smells like cherries.
Pink punch: (pink packaging, yellow writing) smells like pineapples
I can't quite put my finger on the other three, but they all smell amazing!

These are good lip balm to invest in, as they are cheap with a retailing price at boots for £2.99 which I think is amazing! The packaging is also sturdy, as there is no chance that the lid will come off if you want to keep this loose in your bag there is no chance that the lid will fall off as it clicks into place.

Yay:

Cheap - £2.99
Nice smelling
Nice variation of colours
Sturdy packaging
Softens and smooths lips in a couple of hours

Nay:

The fact that it took so long for them to come out in the UK

Overall:

Brand: Maybelline

Product: Baby Lips

Type: All

Price: £2.99

Where to buy: Boots or Superdrug

Packaging quality: 5/5

Overall rating: 5/5

Recommend?: 100% This lip balm is my new favourite, it does such a good job at repairing lips, it's seriously amazing! As soon as you apply it, it feels moisturizing and it leaves lips feeling soft and smooth

Grade: A+

July Favourites!

Hello lovelies!

First of all I would just like to apologize for no favourites for June. In June I never really tried anything new, so there was nothing for me to put into my favourites and I didn't want to just gather any old products and chuck them in, so I decided to leave it for a month.

Three of these products are new and I have had one for quite a while now. I know four items might not be much of a favourites, but these are the products that I have been loving through July.

Not the best picture in the world - apologies

Sleek - i Divine Au Naturel
I bought this a while back and never really used it, the first time I really used it was for my prom and after I used it for that I may have fallen in love with the shade on the top right which is a bronze shimmer. I haven't used all of the colours yet, but I'm loving using the third shade on the top left over my lid which is a matte very light brown with the bronze shimmer in the crease, and as the two shades aren't two dark they are great for a daytime look and are very natural. The first shade on the top left I use as a highlighter which I put on my brow bone which makes the eyes more noticeable and I use it in the inner corner of my eyes which is great for really brightening the eyes and making them appear bigger.

Bourjois - Healthy mix serum foundation
When I tested this foundation in boots the first thing I noticed was the smell; it smells amazing! It literally smells like a scented sun cream that you'd use when you were little; it's great! I have the shade 51 - light vanilla and it is a good match for my skin tone, as it looks very natural and I love how it has a matte finish, so there's no chance of looking shiny. It also lasts a long time as well and I can get through the entire day without thinking that it has faded or that I have gone patchy.

Barry M - Gelly hi-shine - Blue grape
I don't know why I didn't buy one of these when they first came out. I knew I wanted a nail polish that wasn't matte and had a shine to it, so I immediately thought of trying a hi-shine and it did not disappoint! The pigmentation of this is perfection! I only needed two coats until a good solid colour had built up.I also find that this polish lasts a long time without chipping which is a great bonus!

Carmex - moisturising lip balm

I have a love hate relationship with this lip balm, it shouldn't be a favourite, bit it is. The reason is that it burns; I'm not going to lie and I'm not being dramatic, but it literally burns for a couple of minutes after I've put it on. The burning does fade after a couple of minutes. Now you're probably wondering why it's in my favourites if it burns, but it does it's job. It claims to soothe, relieve and moisturise; it may not soothe, but it definitely moisturises.
