Prom!

Hello lovelies!
Last Friday was my high school prom! Something that I have posted about quite a lot about in my previous posts, so I've decided to blog a little bit about the event.

I started to get ready at around 1 which started with a trip to the hairdressers to get my hair done which took about an hour and then when I got home I did my makeup and got fully prepared to go.

Just before going to the place where the limo was going to pick us up from my grandparents and my auntie cam around for pictures.

Note: My mum took all of these photos, so sorry if the quality isn't good. Plus I aren't exactly photogenic, so please be kind.

We didn't stay at the house long we literally had a couple of photos and then went to the village hall car park where the limo was going to pick us up from. When we got there we waited for the others to turn up and then it was time for more pictures.

Whilst inside the limo we got a bottle of shloer, as we obviously aren't old enough to drink. We also drove around for a little bit and had a rave to the CD that was playing which I think was Now 64 or something like that.

When we arrived we were the first group to arrive, so we had to stand around outside and wait for everyone else which which was good because the weather was nice. We waited in the gardens and had more pictures that my friends mum took.

When everyone had arrived we went in for the meal which to be honest I didn't really like. Instead of name tags we had boxes with our names on which inside had a key ring with our year 7 picture on one side and our year 11 on the other and my year 7 picture is really bad! I had really dark brown hair and a full fringe and I look terrible, haha!

The rest of the night was spent dancing and then guessing which teachers were drunk, as it was hilarious to see the deputy head drunk and plenty of the other teachers. The dancing was brilliant and it was overall a great night.

On the way back everyone was complaining that they didn't feel very well or that they were tired, as it was midnight when it ended, so in the limo on the way back me and one of my other friends were the only ones singing and dancing.

Straight after prom there was an after party which I'm not going to go in to much detail about because I would be embarrassing myself, as lets just say that I had a bit to drink and it was an amazing way to end prom. Apparently I kept telling everyone that I was fine and that I had nothing to drink, but when we left and went back to my friends house to sleep I remember leaning over the banister to the stairs singing thrift shop...eek.

No More School!

Hello lovelies!
Yesterday was my last ever day at school. I've finished all of my exams and now I never have to go back! It's quite strange to think about how fast these five years have gone, I can still remember in year seven (which was 2008), in Geography when we were learning about the 2012 Olympics and I didn't see the point of it because I thought 2012 was ages away and it's now 2013!

Yesterday I was only at school till 10 past 11 and then I got to go home, but before that we has a leavers assembly which was our head of year giving awards out for categories such as: Most likely to marry a footballer, most likely to be a vampire, most likely to end the world, etc.. I didn't win one, but I didn't want to, to be honest.

In form in the morning we also signed each others shirts and my form teacher gave us all cards with personalized messages inside and it was the cutest thing in the world. We also had a lot of sweets and biscuits as everyone brought some in and the teacher did as well.

Overall I will miss some aspects of school, but I couldn't wait to leave. School was full of people I didn't like and will never like, some were alright, but 95% of everyone I didn't like, so I couldn't wait to get out of there, haha.

Walking home at 11 with four of my friends was fun, there was no one around, but this meant that everyone is the cars were giving us dirty looks as they went past, as they probably thought that we had left school when we weren't supposed to, but it was weird to think that I have been walking to and from school for five years and now I won't be.

The Liebster Award

The Liebster award, part two!

Shall we call it that? Since I've already done one, but me not wanting to disappoint I thought I'd do another one since I've been nominated again and I love these types of posts, so I just thought why not? SO thank you to Jess for nominating me!

Rules:
1. Each nominee must answer 11 questions that were asked by the blogger that nominated them.
2. You must choose 11 bloggers who have under 200 followers to pass the award onto.
3.Then come up with 11 questions that they will answer
4. Go to their page and tell them that you have nominated them
5. No tag backs

It would of been a lot easier to copy and paste that instead of writing it out... oh well.

1. What's your favourite season?

Summer! No hesitation. I love the warmer weather and how it stays light outside for longer and I can wear dresses and skirts without people thinking I'm crazy, haha! Plus it's appropriate to drink cold, so when I go to somewhere like costa and get an inced lemonade I don't feel like a freak because it's hot outside and not snowing or something.

2. Favourite place to shop for clothes?

Primark! I think some of the items in Primark are amazing and a complete bargain! However in Primark if you want the good stuff you have to have a good look because not all of it is great, but a lot of the clothes I have are from Primark and some of my friends will be surprised when I say that something that I'm wearing is from Primark, as they thought it was from somewhere like River Island or Republic.

3. Do you prefer long or short hair?

My hair is currently about medium length and I'm trying to grow it because I'd love to have long hair. If styled correctly it can look gorgeous where as I don't think you can do a lot with a bob.

4. If you could buy any makeup product, what would you buy?

Is this no matter what the price is? Because if it is I think I'd buy everything, haha! No, but if I could only get one thing I'd get a Naked eye palette.

5. Do you have any hobbies other than blogging, if so, what?

I love reading and writing stories. I love a good book and I also love writing stories. I can't even explain why I just do!

6. What would your dream job be?

I would love my own business. I don't quite know what yet, but I've always dreamed of having my own shop and it would be even better to have a successful shop.

7. What is your favourite lipstick?

If it I had to choose from one that I own I would have to say the Rimmel Kate Moss 08 lipstick. The colour is so natural and pretty! It's also well pigmented and not very drying. It's great.

8. Favorite flowers?

I love lilies, I think they're really pretty, especially the white ones, but I also like Tulips because my mum likes them and buys them quite a lot, so we always have a bunch of tulips in the living room.

9. Who's your style inspiration?

This might sound weird, but I don't have one. I wear what I like, what I feel comfortable in and what suits my body shape. Don't get me wrong I will look at celebrities and think that outfit is so pretty, but I know that I couldn't wear anything like that because it wouldn't suit my body shape or I know that I wouldn't feel comfortable in it and I hate not feeling comfortable with what I'm wearing. So yeah... I don't really have any.

10. What's your go-to hairstyle?

My go to hairstyle is a middle parting with the side clipped back. I can't be doing with having hair in my eyes, so my hair is practrically always clipped back because I hate having it down and then having to keep pushing it out of my eyes because my hair goes really soft and it will just fall forward, so I always clip it back.

11. What would you normally do on a sunny day?

I'd go somewhere with friends, just go for a walk around and talk, nothing to stressy just have fun and chill.

Bloggers who I tag:

My Questions:
1. What's your favourite blog post that you have ever written?
2. What has been you biggest achievement of 2013, so far?
3. What is your most treasured possession?
4. How long have you been blogging for?
5. What beauty item is at the top of your wishlist?
6. Do you prefer lip gloss or lipstick?
7. Favorite film?
8. The Body Shop or Lush
9. Do you prefer Online shopping or going out to the store?
10. High heels or flats?
11. Why did you decide to start a blog?

Again a big thanks to Jess for the nomination! I hope you've all enjoyed the post!

A few new purchases

Hello lovelies!
So yesterday me, my mum and her boyfriend went to the Trafford Centre in Manchester. I didn't buy a lot as  if you have seen my previous post then you will see that I bought quite a lot then and plus I'm not exactly rich.

Excited purchases I know.

Books:
'The Fault in Our Stars' and The Perks of Being a Wallflower'
I've been after these two books for a while now and I'm so happy that there was a buy one get one half price deal in Waterstones. I was going to look for 'A wreck this journal', but then I realised that I can't draw very well. I'm so happy with these books though!

Socks
I went into Topshop, as I wanted some frilly socks, but I was pleasantly surprised when they had a 'buy three for £8' deal, so I got two frilly pairs and one pair with parrots on. Don't ask why I got ones with parrots on, I couldn't decide on a third pair, so I went for the parrots. The other two pairs have frills around the top, but one pair is pink and the other is grey.

Eyelash Curlers
I wasn't going to buy these, but I had been telling my mum about how I wanted some eyelash curlers because my eyelashes are ridiculous, they are tiny and do not curl at all, so when my mum saw these we decided to get them, as they were only £5. The handles are neon pink which I think is really pretty and it says Topshop on one of the handles.

Food
Nerds and Hershey's chocolate
I have never tried nerds before, but everyone seems to rave about how nice they are, so I decided to try some. I got grape and strawberry. I can't really taste the strawberry very well, but the grape ones are delicious and really strong. I don't think I'll buy these again though, as I'm not too fond of them. Hershey's chocolate is my fave! When I went America a couple of years back I bought a packet of the dark chocolate kisses and they were delicious, so when I found a row of Hershey's chocolate bar I had to pick a dark chocolate one up!

Bag
This was £40 from River Island. I've been after a new bag now for months and months because the strap to mine broke... literally. I was walking to school with my friend and the handle literally snapped and my bag fell to the floor.... it wasn't embarrassing at all, but up until I bought this one I've just had my old bag with the handle tied on. The bag is quite big with either two handles to carry it on your arm or over your shoulder. Inside there is no separate pockets just the one space. There is a zip at the top, but there is also them magnetic buttons that cover the zip up. On the front is a small zip pocket. The bag also have some stud detailing.

May Favourites!

Pinch punch, it's the first of the month!

I can't believe it's time for my May Favourites already! This year is going by too quick! When I thought of what products to include in my favourites these products were the first ones that sprung to mind.

L'Oreal Elnett Satin Very Volume Supreme Hold Hairspray

I have a love hate relationship with hairspray, as I can never find one that I love and that I'd be willing to stick to, as hairspray either: won't hold my hair; make my hair look and feel like cardboard or make my hair look greasy and dirty. This one however has done none of those things! This keeps my hair in place without making it look like it has a lot of hairspray in, however if too much is sprayed then it will turn you hair to cardboard (not literally.) I have now found my hairspray love and I will definitely be repurchasing one I have ran out.

Real Techniques Expert Face Brush

This brush is my absolute favourite! I love how to the brush can stand up on it's on own and has a big sturdy, yet light handle. The quality of the bristles are so good, especially for a high street brand. Whilst I've been using this brush I've been able to use a lot less foundation, as it spreads out evenly. This brush is around the £10 mark, but the brush will last and it is such good quality.

Maxfactor facefinity All Day Flawless Foundation

I've used this foundation twice now and that may not seem like long enough to get to love the product, but after going from such a bad quality foundation to this one, I'm not surprised I love it so much! With my old foundation you would need at least two or three pumps to get a full coverage, but with this one only one is needed and it goes a long way! It provides a good coverage and doesn't feel cakey on the skin. This foundation however is matte, so if you have dry skin (like myself) then you will either need to moisturize before using this or use a vitamin E cream which I use and then it's not possible to see the dryer patches.

Essie: Turquoise & Caicos

The colour for this is such a close match to 'Tiffany blue' it's crazy! The drying process for this polish takes about 3-5 minutes which I don't think is bad, as I have had polishes before that take about 7-9 minutes to dry. I've heard a lot of reviews saying that this polish is very watery, but I don't think it is at all with only one coat it was a pale turquoise, but already very opaque and could be worn like that and then with the second coat the colour is perfect and doesn't need another.
