Herbal Essences / Review

On Thursday I had to go to the dentist; which in it's self isn't great, but afterwards I had to go to Morrisons. Whilst in Morrisons, I had a look at the hair products that they were offering and they had a deal for Herbal Essences products; 2 for four pound. So I got a shampoo and conditioner of the ignite my colour, as I dye my hair.

Since buying these I've only used them once and I have already used just less than half of the shampoo bottle, I don't use a lot, but I wash my hair twice with shampoo. I haven't really had a lot of time to make my mind up on this product because straight after I used this I went to the hairdressers, but I did notice that my hair colour did look lighter and it left my hair manageable. Both the shampoo and conditioner are pink and have quite a nice smell to them, it isn't a great smell, but it could be worse...

Whilst I was in the hairdressers I was listening to a conversation that one of the other hairdressers were having with a client, he was saying that he wouldn't recommend tresemme products as they have a high level of salt in them and will leave your hair looking greasy. One product that he did recommend was oil, he said that any type of natural oil is very good for hair. Another point he was saying is that shampoo/conditioner that doesn't lather is the best, as the ones that don't lather are the ones that have not a lot of chemicals in them and they are just better for your hair. I learnt quite a lot, haha!

The Body Shop || Vitamin E Moisture Cream

A couple of days ago, I noticed that my skin was starting to dry out... and I had no cream to sort it out with. I did my research and found out that I needed a good Vitamin E moisturizer, so the first place that I looked was the body shop, as I know they have a range of Vitamin E products. I had a browse through the products on the website and found what I wanted, it cost £4 for 15ml or £11 for 50ml, so my first reaction was to go for the smaller version just to test it out, as my face doesn't like a lot of products on it because I have sensitive especially on my face.

When I actually went into the store, they didn't have the 15ml size, so I got my brother to ask the woman behind the counter and she said that they don't do a 15ml size... Even though I know I have seen a 15ml one on the website, so she started going on about how they must stock more items on the website or something. I went back and had a look at all the products again and decided on getting the Vitamin E moisture cream for all skin types for £10, it may only be a £1 knocked off, but a £1 is a £1.

This is an absolute life saver... I bought it this morning and applied it as soon as I got home and my dry skin has practically no more! It's about 95% clear already! It's not greasy at all and you don't need to use that much, I put a little bit on my finger and do that about 5 times and that's it! The cream it's self is a pale pink colour and has a nice smell to it, the smell is nothing special, but it could be worse. It is a little pricey, but it's totally worth it! It also quickly absorbs, so it is great for quick application and lasts all day, it's also left my skin all healthy looking and feeling soft. I would definitely recommend this product as it has become an instant favourite for me and I'm sure that it will last a long time.

HAUL || Topshop / The Body Shop / New Look

As you all probably know, I visited London last weekend for a shopping trip to Westfield. Now, I was planning to do a haul post on the Sunday, but my camera had ran out of battery and then I didn't know where the charger was and the camera took a while to charge, so nearly a week later... here we are!

So I may not have bought a lot, but the things that I did buy cost quite a lot of money.

Let's start with Topshop.

I got two nail varnishes, one called Peaches and Cream and the other One Hot Minute. I've wanted a deep red for a while now and when I saw One Hot Minute, it was on them moments when you don't care how much it is, you just want it and whilst looking at the range I saw Peaches and Cream and instantly fell in love and couldn't decide which one to get... so I got both, living the high life! The nail varnishes were £5 each.

The last thing I bought from Topshop was a lipstick, now first of all I was looking for whimsical, but once I saw it, I just didn't want it, so I had a good look at all of the other colours and decided on Sartorial. Sartorial is a bright coral colour. I have wore it a few times, but used my finger to wipe the lipstick in, to get a paler coral colour so it is more suitable for daytime wear. It is priced at £8.

Now for the body shop, when I was at the counter paying for these, I think the woman behind the till could tell that I wasn't from London and was trying to get me to donate money to charity and sign up for something to do with the store and I was just stood there trying to get her to take the money off me, so I could leave, anyway...

The first thing I bought was a Born Lippy - stick lip balm in Pomegranate. This is by far the product that I have been looking for, for a while! Since I have a problem with getting chapped lips, I'm always on the look out for a good lip balm and when I saw the born lippy range, I knew I had to buy one. I was going to get the Pink Berry one, but I decided to be a bit daring and go for the Pomegranate. The lip balm goes on easily and leaves a tint of color to the lips, another positive to the product is that it smells amazing, when I showed it to my mum she thought it was a sweet because of the smell! But the best and most important positive is that I have noticed a huge difference in my lips and it has only been a week. I bought it for £3.

My last purchase from the body shop was a body mist in the scent Japanese Cherry Blossom it costs £7.50 and is my new favourite smell in the world! There are only two negatives to this product: the first is that it doesn't last very long and the other is that it is in a glass bottle so it isn't good as a 'bottom of the bag perfume'. It is a fruity and floral fragrance, but is also very light and refreshing.

My last purchase is from New Look, I bought a white lace top that has flower detailing down the front with an opaque white back with silver buttons going down.It cost £12.99 which I thought was a really good price considering similar tops can cost over £20. The top however is see very slightly see through, but it would only be noticeable if you were wearing anything brightly coloured underneath it.

London Calling!

I went to London yesterday, for the first time ever. I went with two of my friends and we spent the whole day at Westfield shopping center, whilst my mum and her boyfriend went to watch the Stoke v Arsenal match.

It's approximately a three hour drive, but we had to stop at two service stations so it took a bit longer. I had to wake up at 7 o'clock and be ready to the leave the house at quarter to nine, as we wanted to be on the road at 9 o'clock.

  Travelling

After we had been in Topshop three times and practically all of the shoe shops about twice, it was time to go home.

We went in Topshop so may times as, the first time nobody bought anything, but then I decided I wanted a nail varnish and a lipstick, so we had to go back. Then the third time my friend Charlotte decided that she wanted a nail varnish and whilst in there I saw another nail varnish that I liked.

We went in the shoe shops a lot, as Charlotte wanted a pair of Nike blazers and didn't know what colour to get, so at first we seeing what shops had what colour and what price the shoes were. Then we had to remember what shops had what colour. We made our way to JD and she decided that she wanted the pale blue ones, but after spending twenty minutes deciding if she liked them, she had to ask the shop assistant if she could try the pink on, then another ten minutes was deciding between the blue and pink and she finally decided to buy the pink.

When we got in the car to go home, my mums boyfriend took us on a mini tour of London by car. We went past: The London eye, Big Ben, Harrods, the houses of Parliament and many more!

Maddy and I, both had our windows down and were sticking our phones out of the window being proper 'tourists' taking pictures of everything. Most of mine blurred, massive thumbs down.

When we finally left London, which was at about 9 o'clock we spent most of the time asleep and got home at quarter to one.
